The Midnight Walk - Calling All Ladies
Grab your handbags, lip gloss and walking shoes and take part in St Lukte's annual Ladies’ Midnight Walk! This June hundreds of ladies will take to the streets to walk the 9 mile route under the stars. The route takes in the main streets of Harrow, Harrow Weald, Stanmore and Kingsbury. The night starts off with a fun warm-up at Harrow Leisure Centre at 10:30pm, and finishes with breakfast for all challengers back at the Centre. Get a team of girls together for a great night out, or walk in memory of a loved one.
In 2008 500 women took part in the first St Luke’s Midnight Walk, and over £80,000 was raised to support the vital work that St Luke’s Hospice does in the community.
About St Luke’s
St Luke’s Hospice is an independent charity providing specialist hospice care free of charge to people in Harrow and Brent regardless of their circumstances or background. We care for people who suffer from serious progressive illnesses, such as cancer, motor neurone disease and heart failure, offering support with their physical, social, emotional, psychological and spiritual needs with the aim of improving the quality of life that they have left.
St. Luke’s has touched the lives of thousands of people across Harrow and Brent over the last 20 years, and yet funding from the government continues to decrease. We are increasingly reliant on voluntary donations from the local community to ensure we can remain open and continue to provide the service that our patients and families need.
